First training run was today. Vonn crushed it (won the run by almost a second over Goggia), with Wiles and McKennis in 3-4, albeit more than 2 seconds back.
Shiffrin was 13th, 3.26 seconds back.
Mancuso was 51st and dead last...

So, I was inspired by the discussion in another thread about whether racers can ski bumps or bumpers can ski gates, etc. I basically agree that "great skiers can ski pretty much anything." But I wonder if there are limits to that maxim at the top level of the sport. So I propose a thought...
