Yes, Liberty is the overnight success that started well over a decade ago but really caught our attention last season with the oh-sooo-good V-Series collection, with its Vertical Metal Technology construction and unique low-rise tip with a good amount of flare (… and more than just 15 pieces of...

Pugski.com is proud to announce that it has chosen Salomon as the official binding of its test fleet. When testing skis, we look to remove as many variables as we can; using the same binding on every ski allows us to concentrate on a ski’s performance without worrying whether the binding is...

I did a small handful of very quick demos at Big Sky on Friday. Only took one run on each ski, so these are just impressions.

This is interesting. Salomon is using flax grown in Normandy as part of their skis. Layered with carbon fiber. We went through basalt fibers, rocks, several years ago and now we're on plants.
From SGBMedia:
A consortium led by China’s Anta Sports made an offer to acquire Finland’s Amer Sports in a deal that values the company at €4.6 billion (US$5.23 billion) and Amer’s board is recommending shareholders approve the offer. The consortium plans to operate Amer Sports independently...
I've lost track of which ski companies are in which company "families". I've searched, but not coming up with an accurate updated picture of how things currently are with the parent companies and their brands. Anyone have a reference source with the answers?
I've googled this topic to death trying to find the answer, I may have already found the answer but I am not sure the answer I found is definite enough. I also may have gone a bit crazy over the last couple months trying to find the answer and never really finding one that is backed up multiple...
Ok, I've had quite enough time on the new Salmon Shift bindings that I think I can put up an honest long-term review. It's been a fun season on the bindings and I think Salomon are onto a winner here. But why? Let's get into that, but first a little background.....

Every once in a while, a ski gets under my skin that is so good and so different that it separates itself from the pack. Skis that not only I think are special but so do others with discerning tastes. These are skis that have changed everything. Skis that when you put them in the rack at the...

I need some help with thoughs if I should buy new skis for my oldest or wait. This stuff is not cheap. My oldest son now 12+ has growed a little bit more than anticipated.
Some basics:
153 cm, 95lbs
Advanced skier prefers soft snow in the trees and wants to start to explore the backcountry...
A few short years ago (two to three) the 95ish width skis sorta fell between the cracks. It is a shame because there were some very good ones, like the Salomon Sentinel and Dynastar Legend 94, and even the Kastle FX94 didn't get all the love it deserved. Now this segment is being attacked and...
Asking $300. Some small scratches on the bases. I thought I'd had tiny core shot repaired, but I can't find it.
I really really really really don't want to deal with shipping, so I want to sell these to someone in Colorado who can make it to Summit County or the Boulder area to pick them up...
