I'm not sure how I missed this, but there is a significant change coming for the U. S. Men's Slalom, and even bigger outrage about the platform of how athletes are funded.

Ski Racing just posted a list of Norways female and male World Cup and Europa Cup members for 2018-2019. Many, most, of the skiers on the list are those you would expect to see. What was interesting to me was that the people who made the selections were listed by name, and the selectors for...
The World Cup women are in Cortina for their annual speed week.
First training run was today. Vonn crushed it (won the run by almost a second over Goggia), with Wiles and McKennis in 3-4, albeit more than 2 seconds back.
Shiffrin was 13th, 3.26 seconds back.
Mancuso was 51st and dead last...

The GS course is set for tomorrow, and hill prep crews are working their magic. Most athletes have called it a day, though some are still banging the gates on Skye Lark.

Here is your chance to own a little bit of of the USST and upcoming star Lila Lapanja's history. Surely to be the centerpeice of any ski collector's racing collection. I found these in a box of tuning tools I noticed that they had "Lila" written on the bottoms and "Vojko" (her dad) on the backs...
In a recent post, @Muleski stated that the women on the USST were more interesting to watch these days, which I find accurate and interesting.
I'm currently watching this Facebook Life from the USST at Copper Mountain.
Its basically a video of them talking to kids who are training at Copper and...

Some of us received a recent email with this information in it. Today, skiracing.com published an article outlining the plans of U.S. Ski & Snowboard {I will try to get used to that name} for the future.....at least through the 2026 Olympics, hence the name "Project 26."
I want to read through...

Many may know of Lila Lapanja, who's almost 23, and a native of Truckee, CA. Lila, other than some Schiffrin kid was arguably our next best SL skier {perhaps a touch behind Resi}. She scored her first World Cup Points, has plowed through injury, and in a move that I would say was quite unpopular...

It's that time of year. Actually has been for a month or so. Athletes who have not met USST criteria based on their gender and age are having conversations with the team. In some cases, they may be "discretionary picks". In others, they may be dropped. And then there are some athletes to whom...
