Looking the other direction- never did snow, and we really need a freshening there's thin spots.
There are spots at Mt. Rose where a lawn mower is needed. Dry, dry, dry.
I was thinking you would both would want to send the snow my way.
Then I looked at snow reports.

Mt Rose base 24-37"
Gore base 6-12”
Alta base 41”

24 at Rose. Spring conditions on the ground. High winds, clouds and mist at the top, sun at the bottom. You could get all four seasons in one run if you hit it just right.

Tuesday was #26 for me. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain fully operational with 36-48" base and excellent groomers. We do need a big storm to open up the canyons and backcountry. From Saturday night.

Day 20 yesterday at Alta. I couldn't believe my eyes when i walked to Collins lift and there was only like 50 people in line. I thought it was going to be a great day until i started skiing. Firm and Fast until "the storm" arrived around 11am. Crazy high winds came in and blew all the loose snow off the groomers. i got caught on the EB traverse from Sugarloaf to Collins in 50mph + wind gusts . what a joy . the winds were so strong i could barely ski downhill off the top of Collins. Felt like an ice rink on that run so i got out . no wind at all when i got down to the parking lot.

only 3 out of 20 days with fresh snow of 6" or more . very pathetic for the beast known as Alta

pic below of the storm coming in that brought zero inches

16 at Mammoth so far. We lost 4 weeks due to the Mammoth employee who took my husband out on an empty slope in mid-December. But he's healed now and we're both happy to be skiing again.

The slopes are empty due to Covid, the lodging ban, and the poor conditions. I was told that on Thursday they had a total of 2500 skiers. Even emptier today due to the blackout of the base pass.

My second day of the season skiing with a friend. Having known Brandt for 40+ years I get a laugh from the stories he has. With LCC getting 2” overnight into Saturday the talk was, it will be skiing like a different mountain and to bring my rock skis.
The Cirque did ski great, the traverse took a little focus.

No, I'm not in jail, just stuck in place - still at 28.
Since I ski Stöckli's the car seemed appropriate though.
