It took til mid Jan...but finally tuned and waxed the non-rock touring skis this evening.

Sometimes I just put skis in the office to make myself feel better during the work day....

I watched the snow update on the Weather Channel earlier. Their main focus in the update was Big Sky and the pending soon to be blizzard in the upper mid west. Overall it seemed like the majority of snow is staying north of us although in the NWS discussion they talk about 6" possible in Grand County higher elevations.

I'm hoping for March also ogsmile

"officially" for Copper this Dec and Jan?

25" of snow the entire Dec. yikes! A really good month is 100" a decent one 50~60" for the month. 25" is really really low.

Winds were insane overnight. I've lived here for 20 years and cannot remember such high winds sustained for such a long period. Scary.

Wow. You could hear the gusts coming.

Breck (Peak 6) had winds of 116mph last night.

@Doug Briggs was probably woken up by the noise even if winds were half that at his location.

Needless to say not much snow with this since it all blew to Kansas.

I am grateful that we have no large trees in our neighborhood. It sounded like I was being sandblasted.

How have the crowds been Doug? I haven't been back to Breck since before the Christmas/New Year week(s). I am thinking of a few hours up your way tomorrow morning.

Crazy windy at Winter Park, some trees down from last night and it is still blowing. Was able to stay out of the wind a bit on the Mary Jane side but anywhere else it was crazy.

review is in the process. Suffice to say, they are the king of trees and powder bumps and can get you back to the lift on edge.....
