So there’s no agreement on what color the pants are?

If I had to say from this photo they’re burnt orange.
Could we get a ruling from the executive shopper?
Plus inform her he’s going to need another true yellow pair. Too much adjustment for us.

I see he’s on a closed trail.

Ah. I now see. I wasn't paying attention before. I like those.

OpenSnow predicts 6" new on Friday, and 4" and 2" on Sat/Sun, respectively.

CalTrans District 9 Facebook page says "ATTN DRIVERS: Due to the incoming storm, Caltrans will close Sonora Pass/State Route 108 at NOON on Thursday, May 20. Monitor Pass/State Route 89 will remain open unless the severity of the storm necessitates its closure." So instead of Tioga opening, Sonora (and Ebbetts) will temporarily close.

What did AG think of the Laser AX? Are they still on the factory base tune?

Answer to the first question - an over cooked fusilli. His exact word, "Scary AF."

Yup, still the factory tune. That is not the issue. Needs more beef.

I've been in a tizzy. I am [was?] supposed to go skiing on Sonora Pass Sat/Sun. Totally forgot about the pass closing until a ski partner mentioned it; I was trying to assess avy danger.

The forecast for the next week is insane. I guess it will preserve the snow. I just wish there were more snow to preserve.

Thanks weather gods. The earliest I can get to MMSA is next Wednesday. Sounds like we'll still have snow.

Graupel just started falling in Tahoe foothills, Snow over Donner Summit. Neighbors are out on Lake Tahoe in kayaks, crazy.

Nice, just in time for my trip next week. Second time it's happened this year, I plan a trip and it starts snowing just before I get there.

I will accept tips in lieu of expressions of gratitude.
Are you flying in?

You shouldn't have any issues driving.
If you're staying in a condo where you'll be cooking, stop in Reno or Carson for groceries. Much cheaper than Mammoth. If you have a Costco membership, the Costco in Reno is by the airport and the Costco in Carson is on the way.
There is a VONs in Mammoth that is somewhat reasonably priced.
On the way back to Reno stop in Carson to gas up, its about 50 cents/gallon cheaper.

On the drive to Mammoth, take the speed limits seriously. All the little burgs on that rout have speed traps.
And pee before you leave the Carson/Minden/Gardnerville area because the little businesses in the little towns on the way to Mammoth don't like to let travelers use their toilet.

Yup. They are more orange than yellow... but, they look great. It’s probably wisest to trust Mamie when it comes to ski fashion!

Also, I am stuck in Reno waiting for delayed furniture delivery ... so the conditions in Mammoth should be excellent!
