JohnDee and Novak Weather both talking about a major storm across MN & WI on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

JohnDee has parts of SD getting 12+" on Sunday and that's heading this way.

Storms a major dude for the twin cities. 2" total is the outlook after hearing we'd be getting 12" initially.

Duluth area and lake superior shores seem to be doing well though.

Raced at Troll last night. They had 5" of fresh fluffy snow. Not ideal race conditions. By the time everyone slipped the course, it looked like a walled racetrack. There were 1'+ high 'walls' on each side of the course. Luckily our setter made it pretty straight as anyone who had to go outside the 'track' would have had a nasty fall more than likely.

By the way, skiing pow/crud in race ski's is the most 80's thing I've done in a long time :roflmao:

Lots of cold weather coming up for the next 14-17 days. We're not getting a ton of new snow, but the snow we have looks to be sticking around into late March.

Could this be a season that has skiing in April with all these cold temps?

If it doesn't disappear after this weekend. .75 of rain and 50s does not help. Granted there are layers of ice under the top layer of groomed snow, but it hasn't been a good snow year.

I hope Afton doesn't have a closure this weekend, it's PSIA exam weekend.

The weather conditions will certainly add to the challenge.

Well my brother has 7" of fresh snow today just North of Madison, basically Cascade.
Tyrol was awesome this morning. Instead of my gym workout I skied. I would say they had at least 6-8inches. It was so fun. Got in 90 min and then back to work.

Teton Gravity Research was filming there too this morning for an indy pass profile piece. They simply got great footage given the snow. A fun morning for sure.

I see midwest skier is with that group this weekend. Glad they got some footage of snow vs glare ice.

Temps in the 50's coming to the twin cities starting 3/15 and going forward. You can see the end of the season coming up pretty quickly.
