Continuing the Sugar Bowl questions... How does SB Handle Wind? Family in town and Sat looks blustery. Don't want to have them spend the money on tickets and rentals (not flying with gear this trip) for stuff on wind hold. We'd just XC instead.

We tried for Rose this morning, but there were a gazillion two wheel drive vehicles spinning out around Galena. The traffic was dead stop and looking stupid. So we turned around and came home. Oh well, today was our last day at Rose. We leave tomorrow for SoCal. Hopefully, we'll see you all in May at PT.

Should have kept going! It was just one shuttle that was not moving just past Galena. 20230330_094655.jpg

It's good to back at Mt. Rose. We leave for a week or so and what happens? More snow! I'll let you all in on a little secret: Big Sky is awesome, no doubt, but the snow in Tahoe is better. And the snow at BS was really quite good. There's just so much of it here! Rose was skiing really nicely today, at least on the Rose side. Slide side was pretty socked in so we stayed away. One run down Beehive in the Chutes. The snow was deep and pretty light, with piles starting to form. The long Covid is still making full runs pretty much impossible but I find my way down. Eventually.

Sugar bowl will be fine with that forecast. Far west U12 championships there started today through Sunday, so another couple hundred kids plus their parents skiing around. Still won’t be that crowded. Saturday is the U12 GS that is planned to be on Montgomery ( off Disney) so that area might have more traffic than usual.
