Belgium- Croatia seems to be even odds.
I’ll take Croatia.

Morocco is favored over Canada. This could be Canada’s big chance.

Well they’ve both been mowing the grass with the ball. Someone needs to score.

I mean come on Belgium. At least try in the first half.
I guess not playing a striker and then suddenly throwing them in doesn’t work well. Lukaku was just a bit off.

We could explain it to you, but you’d have to care. Just think of it as a Round Robin for the first three games.
Bottom line is they didn’t do well enough.
If you want to throw scorn on them, they didn’t score any goals till that last game. So they didn't score in two games.

Yeah, the caring part. There is a difference, though, between caring and being interested, even if only peripherally.

The group standings tell the story. "Goal Differential" (goals scored minus goals allowed) is the first tiebreaker in case of a tie... you get 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw/tie

They were down to the level of yellow cards gotten by each team, if SA hadn’t scored. Mexico still would’ve been out.

So Mexico had one more goal against...got it. That's why they were bummed when, even though they were winning, they got two offsides in two other goals.

As Alex Fergusson would say " Football....bloody hell!"

Tonight is why it is the greatest game.

Japan and Costa Rica?!?!?!? Crazy!!

Although I disagree that crazy upsets/drama is what makes it the greatest game; Many sports, if you're a fan, have as much drama.

Well Japan wins the group. They beat Germany and Spain!
How weird, in that if they had given up a goal and tied with Spain they’d be out.

Germany out! Time to flush the team? Second wcup they’re out after group stage.

Spain won't be crying after getting a game against Morocco rather than Croatia.

Though to be fair not even a self reffing sunday league game would try to claim that ball was in for Japan (& FIFA being a bit dodgy on not publishing all the VAR stills)
