Someone blew the emabrgo then the floodgates of images hit the web so Toyota released the official image. I know these have a following there. What are your thoughts of the all new design?

I was hoping the big grills would go away.

I think they confused “muscular grill” with “roid rage”

Whoa there Beauty and the Beast!

Luckily that is the apparently the TRD version. Perhaps the others will be less, shall we say, noticeable?!

Since we have no mechanical details, and we're talking styling, my eye really likes the look of the Colorado when it comes to trucks.

But very color dependent.

:nono: Someone wake me up when the road aggression stops. I'm glad my 2015 Tacoma's facade looks like a Pug, not a Whale Shark.

Another GM look a like

I really like @Scruffy 's fish mouth visual language - and he's not wrong about the Whale Shark gaping on the Toyota.

The interesting thing about Silverados is that there is a bit of visual taper starting from the high hood and going back. Which is more deep sea fish than whale shark.

I am not sure of the trend towards these wall like front ends of modern trucks. They say it is for pedestrian protection. If I am hit by one of these trucks, I would sooner go over the hoold than end up underneath.

Make sure you're hit by a Euro-spec vehicle.

I do, however, have first hand knowledge that going up, over and through a Euro-spec pedestrian 'friendly' windscreen to break the driver's collarbone isn't that much fun either.

Truly hideous and depressing.

We thought this ugly

In some ways they’re looking back with these new ones, but still not as nice. This has details that break it up.

I like the Light bar in the grill

It's interesting that mainstream gas trucks have taken up that design cue before any of the electrics that sported them in the prototype stage - Tesla Cybertruck or Rivian R1T or F150 Lightning or Nikola Badger - arrive on market.

It's like you can't trust light bars or green/blue logos anymore. ogsmileogwink
