@Popeye Cahn I saw your comment in the Mammoth thread. Don’t give up hope just yet. Below is a good site for checking out BB weather. It’s a local guy who is more reliable than NOAA. He generally comments on snowmaking conditions as well.

Looking like some snow this weekend...6" or so. Hopefully as we creep toward December the snow machine turns on. Pretty good rain here in Carlsbad last night....so we are seeing some moisture in CA early which is great.

Yes! Even though most La Costa dwellers refuse to identify as such … it is solidly within the boundaries of Carlsbad! I used to live in La Costa also.

Yes! Even though most La Costa dwellers refuse to identify as such … it is solidly within the boundaries of Carlsbad! I used to live in La Costa also.

And most of us in Carlsbad don't really consider La Costa to be Carlsbad...it's basically the golf course, and some strip mall shopping.

Snowmaking is back in progress after warm temps and some rain. I've never seen these guys this far West or this high up.

That is unusual! We see them all the time in Shay, Baldwin, and Sugarloaf but I’ve never heard of them in Moonridge before.

Word is WROD, SS & Bear possibly opening Saturday for passholders, stay tuned. Those wild asses were there all day too, hardly moved.

Yes, they actually like people so getting them moving is tough. We can't put our trash out at night or they come along and tip it over. Then they stand there a nose through it and even 2 dogs barking like crazy doesn't move them. They literally just look up and smile! They are super cute but I wouldn't want to have to deal with them while actually skiing

BBMR announced official opening dates. Bear Mountain - Saturday pass holder day and both Bear and Summit open to the public on Sunday. SV opens on Dec 2.
