If you go to SV on Thursday, let us know. We'll come meet up with you. It looks like Slide will be open.
I'll let you know about Thursday but I might be skiing with old HS buddies and I'm not so sure how good they are :-(

I was at SS today and it was terrific. Good snow quality.
All the lots were full so the hill was plenty busy, though not on the runs I like to do.

I'm planning to be at SV on Tuesday, assuming my week goes the way I expect (and it might not!)

I wanted to do SS Sunday but I fear it's going to be a sh*t show so I'm going Monday. Glad you were able to get up on Friday :)

Bear was super fun until about 10:30 when we moved to Jeronimo and then it quickly became a $?it show. The bottom pitch was scraped off and slick or bumps as choice. It was terrible ... people careening down who clearly had no clue how to ski those conditions. So we called it early and went out to an early Valentines Day lunch.

Snow Summit today was fantastic. The conditions were great and the groomers were fantastic. I had so much fun on my Renoun Z90s. Those really are and exceptional groomer ski!

The weather has been fantastic - I love warm weather without spring slush! Tomorrow to SV we go. If the weather holds, I may even have lunch and ski afterwards. @Larry I'll send you a text tomorrow when we get there. We're aiming for an 8:30 arrival.

We went to SV today. The snow was great but Bob’s back was acting up so we quit early. Am I a bad wife that I was a bit peeved at not getting to ski slide peak?
@river-z were the tees soft? They looked nice!
Yes, great day today at SV. Only got to ski a couple of runs with @Pat AKA mustski and Bob but it was nice reconnecting again. I hit Slide around 12. Yes, the snow there was pretty damn good. Hard pack but a slight softening due to warm day but perfect for my style of skiing.

I found that the snow in the bigger trees under the lift was pretty hard. The snow in the smaller trees just to the east was much better and fairly soft. I did more runs there than anywhere else. It was great.
Yes, exactly where I went. It was very nice there. I only stayed an hour because I had to go back I had to go back to meet my friends after their lunch

Late to the game here, what was a sh!tshow on Sunday was the traffic.

It was smooth sailing all the way up to Highland. I decided to take the 330 as I didn't want to spend more time getting up the mountain. Somewhere halfway up between Highland and Running Springs lay a single car accident (spun out on ice) and that was all it took. Add in the traffic jam at the juncrtion of the 18 and 330 at Running Springs and that was that. I left home at 6:30 and wasn't on the slopes until 11:30. We immediately headed for chair 10 which was fairly calm. The crowds weren't terrible but there were a fair bit of folks on the slopes, we skied 3 hours off 10 and then headed home... taking the 38. Getting out of BB took forever. All in all a 13 hour day (made a couple of short stops for food and gas). Blerg.

New AT boots, went to Mount Pinos yesterday to break them in, and had a great day. Road open to the nordic center. Snow depth averaged 35 to 90cm. I realize its not a 'back country destination' but I love how quiet it is in the trees, plenty of places to poke around and snow was pretty good and even better in the shaded trees.
The Mt. Pinos ski patrol and several local search and rescue groups were also practicing this weekend.
