I brought the family to the NEG so my skiing experience has been different. I also stayed with friends who own a slopeside condo at Sugarloaf and know the MTN very well.

Friday at saddleback was a morning of blue/green groomers that were in great shape. Broke some crust muleskinner that was still fun, and followed the group in the afternoon after they softened all the snow. Fun day all around.
Saturday at the loaf was pretty good. Stayed up high on some good groomers, lots of tree runs with good snow. My friend knew where to go for the goods. One run in Bracket was great fun.
Sunday at the loaf again was one of those special days. 6" of new snow. Great skiing no matter where you were. Two runs in Bracket and some secret glades were highlights.
Monday will be back at saddleback

Today was a fabulous fresh-snow day at Saddleback. I saw lots of photos being taken (not by me), and lots of stupid grins, so I expect that media will trickle in as people get back home and catch up on sleep.

Thanks to everyone who came.

PS, there's a pretty large contingent skiing tomorrow as an extra credit day.

What a difference a day makes after overnight snow. Went up 30cm in ski length and over 30mm in width.

Stunning day at Saddleback. Trees don’t get much better than this in the Northeast. Pitch spacing, sometimes with really good flow. One spot had a luge run of banked turns through trees for like a dozen turns. Great fun chasing @Sandy_NYC through there.
Under the lift on Family Secret was turn after turn hitting no ice. @puptwin and son lapped that many times.

Traveling with a young person such as @Sandy_NYC requires endurance. After après we had a tuning session /evening entertainment courtesy of the @mdf @James traveling tuning show. Also courtesy of the enduring patience of @Tony S and @Wending who turned in early quite understandably! There was much discussion and demonstration of tools and technique as @Sandy_NYC has been apprenticing at the @KingGrump academy. Fine wine was served, but I had only a taste since I was already sufficiently après’d. Much was done outdoors so just as well I was still in my ski gear. As someone who brings her skis in for a wax and tune every 25 days or so, whether they need them or not, it was quite an education. Today at Saddleback is projected to be sunnier and warmer, so I’m guessing I’ll really appreciate the wax.

What’s wrong with this picture? I think they were trying to figure something out… @Tony S and @DebbieSue, care to explain?
We were considering which ski was a better match for our outfits. Everyone knows that you carve better if everything matches. Thanks to @Tony S for ski swapping. Very informative. And really there were no rocks or stumps in that baby glade @James led me through forgetting I was on Tony’s Blossoms….really!
