If the GTA idiots would stay home and not invade "the County" the roads would be saver. Millennium trail is part of the Lakeshore trail from Oshawa through. The TCT is north, by Hwy 7. Both are old railway beds.
Hey I resemble that comment!! :roflmao:

As a local who has used and enjoyed the Kettle Valley Railway trail I would agree much of it would not be recommended for a bicycle.

They've made significant improvements this spring, specifically filling in the big puddles that always form between Gillard and Chute Lake. It's still loose and sandy as ever. I wouldn't want to be on a gravel bike but anything with bigger tires is fine. The Lodge to Penticton; 40km with zero climbing and 3000ft of decent makes for a pretty leisurely ride.

Bigger like 29x2.1, 2.2 ?

Around here gravel bikes have considerably outstripped CX bikes on a tire width basis - 42 to 50mm is the norm.

In fact, there is a tire width gap appearing in the wider-than-CX but narrower than 29x1.9 sizes.

I'd want a 2.3 at minimum. It's like riding on the beach for significant stretches. Deep loose sand. The popular sections are nice crushed gravel or even paved.

Boring up tracks are my favourite. Shaded under the young birch, nothing technical, easy pedal to the top.

Since we seem to like flowers.

Made it to the KVR. This section vehicles can drive on.

Views are decent; much better in the south.

This trestle didn't catch on fire. Well, yet.

These did.

This one goes into a tunnel.

It's not very long.

The Downhill is more funner.

When this corner is loose I'm a little nervous.

Just did 40 miles on the Erie Canalway Trail and heading to the Thousand Islands area. Any suggestions for trails to ride up there?
