Hi Everyone,

Wow, I'm just finding this stuff, I'm glad to see all this stuff. I lost 40 years of gear and stuff in an awful divorce, but managed to save a few things. Raced on these in High School and College, some rare birds on the bench today:

Thank you for posting this. I always thought the Dynamic 70 was a cool ski! I do understand the sidewall would fail often. The idea of a stiff sidewall made of aluminum was not the problem but the epoxy that filled the gap would leverage the pieces away from the ski. This is another of my short list of "unicorns" I'd love to find.

Amazing there are 42 watching. @Royal You can copy and paste the script. For pictures, left click on the zoom, right click the enlarged pictures, left click "copy image" and right click at this site and "paste" or "save image as" in your own pictures. Sometimes I will copy and paste stuff in an email to myself.

DYNAMIC VR17

Think 1967 Big Block Chevrolet Corvette.
Today, the DYNAMIC VR17 is to ski collectors what major muscle cars are to car collectors.
Imagine this "ski" as the "car" that was put into storage 43 years ago by your neighbors' grandfather and covered in 1974.
This pair of Dynamic VR17's was purchased in Vermont in the fall of 1974 from the Peter Glenn Ski Shop.
The owner put summer wax on them that fall of 1974 and has stored them in wrapping ever since.
This "one of a kind" offering will be sold to the collector who has the deepest pockets!

That pair of skis has been on eBay for a couple (?) of years now if not longer. They are obviously hoping the right collector will come along so they can retire.

The value of bitcoin has dropped dramatically has anyone calculated what it would cost for the skis at latest bitcoin value?

Found a pair of VR 27 Slalom, new in the wrappers, 207's yesterday. I figure they are from right around 1990. Gonna mount these up and ski the hell out of them! See you on the Face!

@Dave Petersen if you go to Wikipedia and look for the "List of Ski Brands" at the bottom of the list after the skis is a list of boot brands and under Humanic it hints that they used dynamic as a name for the product. You will have to find one of the older versions of the list.

They look like the old Humanic boot but the Swiss cross on the back is puzzling.

That is exactly what I was thinking, and mentioned to him on Facebook

There was a rumor that the Dynamic DH skis were not really Dynamic but only had a Dynamic top sheet and graphic so maybe why the made in Austria. As far as the French Racing Cock I was told by a guy who worked for Rossignol that emblem was given to manufactures that supplied the French Olympic team.
My 240 speed skis were really 235 Atomics under the top sheet.
