Dropped one out of the loft in the garage once..no piece bigger than a dime afterward...

It's funny how the plastic in ski boots can vary. I have some boots in my collection from the 1960s and the plastic is as sound as the day they came from the factory. Yet my wife has a pair of Nordicas from the early 1990s, and I believe they would shatter if dropped like your Garmonts.

I had a pair fo the Utralite II's in Junior High, the only forward flex was in the padding in the tongue.

In the late 70's I worked in a ski shop where we had some Garmont Ultralights as rentals. We use to arrange them like tenpins and bowl at them with a roll of duct tape.

I hadn't thought of "Bowling for Garmonts" for some time. While you probably had to be there, it was pretty funny.
