Kastle 185 cm
Found two weeks ago .
Bought for my little collection .
Too small to ski on and , anyway , I never liked Kastle . It was my brother's favorite brand of skis . Thus I can't stand Kastle ...
These are close to brand new : they must have seen less than a season on the snow .
As you can see , the Marker bindings does not have a scratch ! Out of the box condition ... I don't like Marker either ...
But these were saved from the dump .

Ski season starts next Saturday : I will have a Prolink DH 220 cm to try ....

As I said previously ... I would never ski a pair of Kastle !
Well , I was under the impression ... but you know that only fools never change their mind .

So today I found a pair of RX National Team 205 cm ...
$12.99

So I am under the obligation to try them , no ?
They seem to be fine so as soon as I can go to the little hill close to my house - I would be there right now but the rain ... the rain ...

One thing you can help me with ... The RX were at some point SL , GS and DH ... but why isn't there something on mine ?
And what year are they ?
The bindings would suggest early 1980 ...
Do you have an idea ?

Closer and closer to my 100th pair ...

Are you asking about the X 11 Ice or the RX National Team SL?

I would prefer the SL but would love both if I can get my hands on them.
Actually there was an X11 World Cup S which was the slalom. The National Team designation came in the ‘78/‘79 designation. The previous generation race skis through ‘78 were X11 models.

The RX Combi was one of my all-time favorites!
Great ski, it was the ski I used on my trip to Austria. I felt like I was riding on a luxury hot rod. I know that sounds odd but I could turn it on a dime when going at a good speed.

As I said before , I never liked Kastle ...
Too much ''old guy'' for my wild tastes .

But then , I had these 205 sitting in the basement . I showed them before .

And I had a pair of Geze bindings doing nothing in a corner .

So this is it !
Brand ''new'' pair of skis ready for the slopes .
I will let you know how much they compare with the rest of my quiver .
