I did not realize that at one time it was the "ESS" Nevada binding.

They were always LOOK Nevada. They would have been made under license perhaps to make them more sellable to Germans. I have a pair that are "Made in Japan", says Duco-Tokyo.

Phil good luck with those heels take a look at post #33 in this thread and see what happened to mine. I thought of using a newer Look 99 heel that would screw on to the same turn table plate but I did not have an extra 99 heel and I did not want to split up a set of 99's.
No worries, these are not going to see snow.

Kid size backpack.

This one gets a lot of use in springtime. Not much in the way of secure pockets so I have to travel light. The one zippered pocket will barely hold sunglasses and vintage pants usually have just one tight zippered pocket.

Nevada turn table heel mid to late 1950. There is a bit of a coating on the bindings which gives it a tinge of color maybe an anti-rust coating, The buckles are stainless steel though.
