I had several sets of Marker explodamatics over the years. There's a set of Simplex visible on the red skis in the middle of the photo of skis in the dumpster from a recent clearout we HAD to do of my barn, which has been sold.

Good Morning all! I had a little time this last week to follow up on a personal project I've been wanting to do for a while now. A little background on me, I am a life long 2D/3D solids drafter with skills in AutoCAD/AutoDesk Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoDesk Fusion 360/ProE (ultimately they are all the same). I'm also the lead instructor for CADD at Community College of Denver. As as you can figure out a skiing hardware geek. The project you see is of the first truly elastic travel toe that Marker came up with in the mid 70's, the M4. The museum set I have/had gave up their life to let me measure and define all the parts, sub-assemblies and all up assembly. So where I also have a Spademan S9 when I remember where I "saved" it (tooooo many places to save things between the servers at school and here at home). I'm finishing the RotoMat FD heel and when that is complete I'll assemble the set together and upload those. I'm going to do the first generation (pre-teflon inserts) Look Nevada next. If you have a request let me know...but (big but) I have to have the real thing to take apart and measure. Also I've been known to sign non-disclosures and do 3D solid design work for
others at a very reasonable cost. So you inventors wanting some STL file to 3D print I'm you man.

Ricky G.

A while back I said I had a pair of Marker AFD's but did not find them when I went looking and only found some Tyrolia AFD's. Well today I was looking for some Tyrolia bindings and mixed in with the Tyrolia stuff I found these.

If anyone needs them PM me because I do not have Marker stuff or a reason to save them.

you might want to edit the above post and remove your address from a public forum. ;) I'm waiting for the above AFD's ( thanks Uncle -A) then I'll ship them out :thumb:

Today I found , in a small second hand shop , a pair of Marker M33S/M3S still in their original plastic bags and boxes .
Paid $15 for those ( cdn ) .

Now ... what to do ?
Put them on old K2 El Camino , ratchet the tension to 3 ( the max ) and try some powder skiing with the gig ?
Or I leave them intact , in the unopened plastic bags , for future archeologists who will dig where my house is ?

Let me know quickly ... my drill hand is shaking !!!!!!

I would leave them in the bags for now, you have lots of things to ski on that are better than those Markers.

Hello All,

This post is to answer KingGrump who commented on a photo of my ski/binding combination. Modern 2018/19 Stockli Laser SC's with Marker MRR's.
Well.....I so happen to love MRR's and when I decided to buy some new modern skis the Stockli's, I had a set of these stashed for almost 15 years I think. There wasn't a single shop that would touch it, I had previous experience working is a ski shop in the early 80's so it wasn't like I hadn't done this before. I bought a Marker jig and the correct drill bit...piece of cake.
When I ski them I get a comment every now and then. I just smile and say bye-bye.

Cheers,
Earl J

Sorry, not a real MRR. ;) These are the step-model. If you would like, I can send you some real ones. Oh, I hope you aren't still using the Lange XLR's. I did see the other image with the newer Lange RS's.

Wow, talking about blast from the past. Had a pair of those step in ones back in 1995. Had a few pairs of the older ones where I had to bent down and pull up to engage heel units. Some of my favorite bindings of all time.
