Found yesterday ....
Too late to try them on the snow !
I just cleaned them and ajusted the bindings for my Salomon SX-91 Equipe

These are from 1986 and are in good overall shape .
Enough to ski powder next year .... in fact enough to burn the slopes of the little ski hill I go to .
The 09 means it is the Slalom version so it should be perfect for deep powder ... next year !

It is a shame , throwing away perfectly good skis . I got them for $9.99 Cdn .
The bindings are bombproof and should do the job even if I hate Marker .
If I could reach out the general public , I would try to save every pair over 2 meters : give me your ski and I will find them a place forever .

Spalding is my favorite ski brand ....
All I have to find now are Sideral and Formidable .... that can still be skied .

My ultimate goal is finding a pair of Toni Sailer - my first pair of skis - but I am dreaming there !

But what is life without dreams ?
I think those used to be mine... if picked in the Montreal area.

No worries, that was a long time ago. I found another pair this winter. Just the heel of one of the bindings is broken. Ski are in great shape.

I love, Blossom skis come from there. This are my 4th and 5th pair.
The skis you have if were mine were purchased at Andre Lalonde sports in Pointe-Claire. 1st and last time I owned marker bindings till the duke.

Found these on a fence. Offered a few pair for a trade. Really nice condition with S747 equipes original mounts, toes were moved once. Bit of corrosion on the tail edges but cleaned up nice.

They were held on with just wire. He has a bit of racing history and does appreciate a good ski even if it is on a fence. Drilling a hole right through would be sacrilege.

Finally got around to digging out the undrilled skis from my dad's collection. Thought you guys would get a kick out of a certain pair. New undrilled Spalding Sideral 210cm absolutely dwarfing the Heads next to them. Can't even imagine how big those 223cm must look.

Well ... it has been a while since I had something ''new'' ...

Spalding being my ''fetiche'' brand , I decided tu update the Spalding Super Geant 204 that I own but could not ski with .
Thus I went to a store , bought a new pair of bindings and had them mounted .
I got them a few minutes ago !

Now , all that is missing is a ski hill that is open . The ''Lepton'' that is close to my home ( 35 minutes ) won't open before Xmas because they hire only college kids and until school is off for Xmas ...

Well , I will check what is open in Maine or NH ... I live 15 minutes from the border ( when there is snow on the ground .

So , what do you think of my ''new'' 204 ?
