In the early 1980s, EdVin and Jarle Halsnes jumped into a SL college race I was in at Hunter Mtn and proceeded to run 28 seconds in ski coats and warm-up pants, training skis and no course review. The fastest time by a college racer that day was 36 seconds. The Halsnes brothers were big time winners on the pro tour in the 1980s.
Three of my skis have the Tyrolia 490 series bindings. My Kästle RX Combi has the 490D, my Kästle Mid Pro has the 490RD and my Dynamic VR27's have the 490RD Calgary edition from 1988 Olympics Another photo is the Tyrolia Documentation that would come in the box with a set of bindings. The third photo is a binding cover for when you had your skis in a car rack that cover would protect the bindings from the road dirt and salt, it worked well you would have to wash it from time to time and you could see how much junk from the road would have gotten on the bindings.
