Meant to comment on the turned up tail on the Volkls. About the same as the K2 Ballet.

That was the Jr. model and a very fine ski. I sold a lot of those back in the day and many of them to adult but petite women. The Jr. came in lengths up to 175 CM and hold up to about 145 LBS if I remember correctly.

i still have 2 pair of unused volkl carbon skis and one pair of the hand painted volkl that princess diana ski on. Carbons were the best all around ski i eve used bak in the day

the skis top right are the pair i have , i remember they were over 900.00 back then limited numbers made . still in my closaet they were silkscreened from some famous artist at the time

I think it is a more expensive manufacturing process and we all know that companies like to cut cost.

Mounted up my undrilled Renn Tiger commemorative skis with Forza din 3-10 last winter. Something about the liveliness of a new ski. Nice even flex, sure footed, nice all round ski.

Hello Dave P., do you still have the 1986/87 catalog you posted at the beginning of this thread, and if so would you be willing to post it here for us? I have a tremendous sentimental attachment to that particular catalog (I owned and read it during my college years, during life with my grandparents who have now passed away, I purchased P9s eventually, and other factors) and I have been looking to replace my lost copy for about 15 years. It has proven impossible to find! A digital copy would be the next best thing and I am sure a lot of other people would appreciate it as well.

Took out my Volkl Secret 96s in mashed potato snow at butternut today and I'm always impressed by these things. They make skiing in mush easy.

Have a pair of Volkl Blaze 106s I've yet to ski and I'm just so excited to get on them.
