Sadly, I think last weekend was my last. Time to move on to other adventures :)

Bachelor. If you look really closely at the top of the cliff you see kids eyeballing their landings for the cornice huck contest. Bigger and steeper than it looks - minimum 30 feet to touchdown.

I stayed firmly on the ground:)

And same for the mtb afternoons!

Oh but the sunburn factor! I'm fair-skinned and live cloudy Seattle. I feel myself roasting on sunny May ski days even before I get out of the car! I reckon that I kill a 4 oz bottle of sunscreen in two sessions :)

Fortunately I can absorb some rays without burning to a crisp. But yeah it was nuking up there. 65° was the high. Going to hit it Tuesday.

I love to wax this time of year. My favorite recipe is:

1. Heavily rill bases.
2. Crayon on favorite HF yellow.
3. Sit skis in spring sun 5 min to melt.
4. Let cool then brush.
5. Find some slushy bumps and enjoy.

I use two kinds of sunscreen. let the first dry, then apply the other.

We are still going since most of our typical backpacking destinations wont be available till august. Not complaining though :D. Will finish out May at Pally but plan to switch over to Mammoth in June/July
