I did get a reply and though I didn't get an answer about the subscription option, I did feel comfortable that their "out of stock" is temporary.
I also got notice that my units will arrive on Tuesday.
Have you been able to get out for any riding lately?

Today is a good day for a ride. I'm finishing up some stuff and then I'll likely get out.

The project I started at home yesterday ended up being bigger than I anticipated so I didn't get out to ride.
I'm regretting it now because the AQI yesterday was consistently under 120. Today its closer to 200. Hopefully it will drop a bit today so I can get out.

I moved the air purifier posts to its own thread to make it more searchable.
You can find it here.

I got out for a quick ride this morning with a girlfriend when the AQI finally went below 100.
Its funny how our tolerance has changed. I never thought I'd think that under 100 was good to go. In the beginning of this I figured I'd not ride until it was back below 50.
Tonight we're lucky enough to see the AQI around 89.

Sitting at the top of the bike trail, I looked right and saw this.

I looked left and saw this.

Its a very odd year.
It was good to get out on the bike, even if it was for a short ride.

I totally expected this thread to turn into a "Which pandemic purchase mask are you using for bad air riding?" thread.
Why the heck would you even bring that up????

We just spent a year and a half shopping for - and creating supply chains for - wearable masks that filter down to PM 2.5.

We have bad air that is polluted by PM 2.5 particulates. We have people concerned about lung damage to kids and possible later carcinogens. We have an on the shelves protection.

Why wasn't it brought up on the first page?

I've been thinking of how to reply to this. I'll just keep it simple.

First, it was brought up casually in this thread as a possible good idea when AQI is horrible.
And second, while you were thinking ...
I totally expected this thread to turn into a "Which pandemic purchase mask are you using for bad air riding?" thread.
I was thinking. Boy, I'm glad this didn't turn into yet another mask discussion.

I already spend 12 hour days at work masked. If I have to spend my outdoor time masked all summer, I'm not sure what I'll do.

Pumping up the tires since they surely went flat since last you rode ?
I actually rode a few days ago when it was pretty good. I'm getting out about once or twice a week.
Checking the AQI and taking advantage every time I can.

I just saw Coop Cooper on The Weather Channel and he said the AQI in South Lake Tahoe today was 720. :geek:

Glad the winds are bringing some clearer air to Reno for you.

Its 101 here near our house now, but stayed below 50 for most of the morning.
This is a snapshot from just now. I'm not sure where/when Coop got his number.
