Arctic Man Champions - Rahlves & La Vallee

I'm feeling a little late to this news but its exciting for sure and something you should take a look at.

Daron Rahlves and Levi LaVallee won the Arctic Man in Alaska. After two days of delays due to weather they finished a 5 mile course with disconnects and hook ups with a snowmobile, where skiers can reach speeds of over 90 mph.

That is such a crazy race. It's gotten big time since I lived in AK in the 80s. It was, and probably still is, a rowdy party. Sad note about the woman killed by an avalanche nearby.

I saw that. Sad and especially sad that she leaves two young sons behind.
In the thread about the female snowboarder who died in the Swiss Alps, @James reported about the high avalanche statistics for snowmobilers. Sad but true.
