That Merckx is actually one of the nicer oldCX-to- 650b conversions I've seen in recent years. Of course it helps to start with a big frame.

You know, I didn't look at the underside and now I'm kicking myself. When I saw it, I assumed it was a Shimano 600 or similar, mostly because of the neck shape and what looks to be a custom bolt cap.
