I live in Calgary, and I agree with others that it is highly unlikely that you will be able to make that trip. There is very little appetite here for the border to reopen to tourism (already open for necessary travel like truckers) and rapid tests aren’t a magic bullet as you can test negative for up to 2 weeks post exposure and still develop Covid.
Every week they are announcing multiple domestic and international flights with infected travellers, and we have already had multiple infections in multiple schools across the province. BC has just announced a return to tighter restrictions again because of rising numbers. There is nothing in the foreseeable future that will reverse those numbers, and we are likely to see a further increase as the weather changes and we all spend more time indoors with the windows closed. And while we hope that flu season may be milder because of all the mask wearing and hand washing, no one knows for sure.
In the unlikely event that the border opens to tourists, the 2 week quarantine period when you arrive here will not likely be gone for the reasons above, and they are actively fining people for violating the quarantine.
Good luck, but I’d recommend having a back up plan if you’re really set on a spring skiing trip.
