2 very good local breweries here in Pike County..

Wallenpaupack Brewing Co. (Hawley, PA)
Log Tavern Brewery (Milford, PA)
What is the Tavern Brewery that is just down the road from CB? I have stopped there a few times for a beer and a burger.

Barley Creek...yes, they are very good as well...has been there since the mid 90’s....(they were like the first microbrewery in NEPA)......very popular/great location off Rt. 80/CB/The Crossings, etc.

A light lager. Better suited to the dock than the snow machine. Cool name though. From Highland Brewery in South River Ontario.

@AKMINK and I hit up a couple of good breweries in Tucson. Yesterday was Barrio Brewing Company and today was Moto Sonora. Both had really good IPAs and Barrio has a wonderful porter.

What was I thinking?
Bought a beer that gets a 2 thumbs down rating, so consider this a PSA.
Best paired with people you don't want to stay too long.
Should have known better than to buy a 'gluten free' beer, it is a crime against nature.
If somebody offers you one ask for water instead.

On a 1 - 10 scale this stuff is a minus, drink at your own risk.

That is surprising to hear....for people that opt for a gluten free lifestyle......Omission seems to be a favorite.

I was at a brewery after a bike ride last night. Between two of us three beers were had. Two were very nice. The third had a nose that could be summed up perfectly with the words "litter box." Against my better judgment I actually tasted it. Elementary school paste. On the up side, it didn't TASTE like litter box (I imagine). Hard to see how the brewmaster thought it would be a good idea to expose the public to this stuff.

can't comment on Omission but I know both my spouse and sister-in-law drank Alcohol free beer when pregnant. Both always claimed it was good but after they had children and were back to consuming alcohol, and grabbed a couple of leftovers, both noted it must of been the hormones lying to them.

The pored it out and jumped back to their standard.

An excellent beer from Portland Maine. Nice and bitter like an IPA is supposed to be.

Gotta brag on my kid. His taproom and brewery opened a year ago. The product is good enough that they have not only made it through COVID, but thrived, and now they open 100% just in time for a Big celebration.

That was just breakfast. Time to move on to Lunch!

You and Ms. Mdf need to bring your water toys to Casco Bay and soak a bit. A dinner at Scales or Central Provisions wouldn't kill you either.

I was all ready to plan a visit as part of my Taos trip but maybe not, now that I see the location!
