New England skiers: I have posted about this brewery before, but this is another winner. It's a very dry roasty lager that keeps inviting another sip. Great balance and carbonation. If you have a chance, make the effort to visit the Schilling brew pub in Littleton, NH.

We used to go there a bit. Cool location, good staff, great meat and cheese board, salad, pizza, pretzels, and the main course beer.

The final take on our AZ brewery "tour", including a few from Tonopah minus a few that mysteriously disappeared along the way. Some fine beer in AZ, and some really good ones from Tonopah! 20211115_172720.jpg

A very late response, sorry. But I hope you let it warm before drinking. At frig temps the flavors can be quite harsh but as it warms they meld and ease and are most delicious IMHO. View attachment 147799
I tried this last evening, I couldn't drink more than a mouthful. It had a chocolate aroma, was like a syrup that tasted like coffee with a hint of licorice. Not for me thanks.

I absolutely love a good, dark lager, but I'm on the wrong side of the country for this one, darn it!

Dunkelweisse was my new jam of the year! Had it in Wisconsin at a German restaurant last summer and then came home to PA/DE to find two local microbreweries producing it.

I've posted a few beers here from our friends who own(ed) the Great Basin Brewery in Reno and Sparks. They have since sold but before that they had a fossil named after them. Pretty cool stuff. The fossil was transported to LA in their beer truck. After all, their main brew is called Ichthyosaur Pale Ale.
