I got to spend a morning working with Reno's Trail group working on some new trails they were cutting which will give us a little more direct access to Peavine Peak (Home of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games) and some fantastic high desert riding.

Trail was cut with a machine earlier in the week, we were cleaning it up

They suggested long pants and long sleeve shirt. I am glad they did, especially the long pants.

We are excited, this gives us (better) access to a ton of riding rignt from our house. Once this Sierra Vista Connector is complete, it will give us a more direct access to the new Sierra Vista Park which is a fun easy alternate to Peavine w/o taking the main roads.

put some Minions on that bike (DHR II's), you dont need to worry about rolling resistance any more on climbs, the extra grip will be immediately noticeable and appreciated. Thank me later.

the bike looks awesome btw

Y'know...I had Minion's on the last bike and really liked them. These have the Rekons and I am not loving them, I just don't have the confidence in them that I did the DHR's. I wasn't sure if it was also going to the 29". I have been playing with the tire pressures...I read the reviews..which are pretty good but I still think I liked the Minions better. Your unsolicited post, is validating my concerns.

DHR II and DHF's installed. They are doing what I expected them to do. They have a tighter grip than a fat kid trying to hold a turkey leg.
