IKON PASS ANNOUNCES UNPARALLELED ACCESS TO UTAH

WITH THE ADDITION OF SOLITUDE MOUNTAIN RESORT AND BRIGHTON RESORT

Now Offering Five Destinations in Utah

DENVER, CO, August 27, 2018 – Ikon Pass holders now have access to nearly 10,000 acres of terrain in Utah between Deer Valley Resort, Alta, Snowbird, and now Solitude Mountain Resort and Brighton Resort – the most terrain offered in Utah on any season pass.

Earlier this month, Alterra Mountain Company completed its acquisition of Solitude Mountain Resort located in Big Cottonwood Canyon just 34 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and less than an hour from Deer Valley Resort. The mountain offers skiers and riders 77 runs, three bowls, and a vertical drop of 2,030 feet across 1,200 acres, plus some of the most impressive off-piste terrain in the country. The quaint base village offers ski-in/ski-out accommodations along with year-round activities for guests.

Brighton, located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, boasts one hundred percent of its terrain as accessible by high speed quads, allowing guests to maximize their day of incredible Utah skiing and riding. Both mountains average 500 inches of Utah’s light, fluffy, dry snow, making them a paradise for skiers and riders.

"Brighton Resort is excited to be included in the Ikon Pass and honored to be part of such a premier group of destinations. We look forward to providing an exceptional experience for Ikon Pass holders visiting the Wasatch Range," said Randy Doyle, President & General Manager, Brighton Resort.

“The Ikon Pass is expanding, and with the addition of Solitude Mountain Resort and Brighton Resort, we are excited to offer unparalleled access to Utah, a state known around the world for its snow quality, variety of terrain, and accessibility,” said Erik Forsell, Chief Marketing Officer of Alterra Mountain Company. “We are nearly 70 days away from opening day in North America and are thrilled to jump start the ski and snowboard season by adding more premier Ikon Pass destinations for winter 2018/2019.”

Access

Unlimited access to Solitude Mountain Resort is available on the Ikon Pass with no blackout dates, and unlimited access with holiday restrictions is available on the Ikon Base Pass for winter 2018/2019.

The Ikon Pass offers 7 days at Brighton with no blackout dates and the Ikon Base Pass offers 5 days with 10 blackout dates. (Dec. 26-31, 2018; Jan. 19-20, 2019; Feb. 16-17, 2019).

From a week-long vacation to unlimited days, the Ikon Pass was built with the guest in mind, to provide the best experience possible. With 29 destinations, in 9 states, four Canadian provinces, and on two continents, the Ikon Pass is the gateway to a like-minded community, enduring memories, and 66,000 skiable acres at the most iconic destinations on the planet.

The Ikon Pass launched in January 2018 and is a collaboration of industry leaders – Alterra Mountain Company, Aspen Skiing Company, Boyne Resorts, POWDR, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Alta Ski Area, Snowbird, SkiBig3, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Sugarbush Resort and Thredbo. Each demonstrates integrity, character and independence that is reflected in their mountains and guests.
