Ok, so it’s spring here in LA so the annual rite of “ old men bringing out there Sunday drivers” has begun. Todays offerings, a Lotus and and old Alfa ( yellow in the back of the shot) We see Supercars here on an hourly basis, these are far more rare and interesting and fun IMO.

Yesterday this was parked on the north shore of Boston in front of my pharmacy.
It's from 1962, impeccably restored.
1962 Corvette #9.jpeg

The owner/restorer was happy to talk and let me take photos.
Corvette #2.jpeg

A good view from the front was blocked by this post. They were installed in front of the shop after an old guy ran into the window a few years ago.
Corvette #3.jpeg

All the parts are true to the original. Almost everything is red. No paint chips anywhere, no wear on the leather. No dust, no crumbs. Spic and Span.
Corvette #5.jpeg

Even the trunk.
Corvette #7.jpeg

Clean clean clean. That's the owner's face reflected upsidedown.
Corvette #8.jpeg

The speedometer goes up to 160. She shines!
Corvette #10.jpeg

As I finally walked away I noticed the window lowers oddly.

When I was a young kid my next door neighbor who was a surgeon had a 62 Vette (his was green & white)! His son & I were about the same age & good friends. One night when I was about 5 or 6 he took us out somewhere & got an emergency call. Seatbelts were not a big thing back then but I remember him quickly strapping us both snugly into the passenger seat & speeding us to the hospital at what l can only guess was close to 100mph. When we arrived l remember him giving us a stern look & saying “don’t tell your mom!” I’ll never forget that car!! :ogcool:

Here and there.
2024 F-150. As usual spotted on Loveland pass. Changes hiding under camouflaged front and rear. I signaled the driver to roll down his window and he did. He was very open and said the changes are mostly to the lighting and grille. He also said the current project was working on the tuning of the 2.7 EcoBoost.

I asked him if I put my phone away could I see the dash and he said yes. On top of the dash were rolled up little tarps to cover the dash when not in the vehicle. The dash is reconfigured some and I can't say anything about it other than it's very nice. (I had a 19 F-150)

Also, no picture, but we drove past one of those U Pick It junkyards and there was a Ferrari FF right up against the fence.

No pic; sorry but I was driving in traffic. New BMW 3-series with paper plates with granite countertop paint job; not a wrap but actual paint. Looked very cool.
