Meh.
LZ didn't train as a chemical anything - and it shows.
Josh's answer is more on point - but forgets to mention other scale.
Every time we launder our fleece or nylon we generate more micro particles in the waste stream than we do with any of those other actions.
Thirdly, from an eventual breakdown point of view...there's more carbon left behind by any forest fire than what we put in. The only concern is the epoxy resins it might be embedded in - and we know on this forum epoxies aren't forever chemicals.
Not to mention the amount of plastics in the general consumer https://www.npr.org/2022/04/06/1091246691/microplastics-found-in-human-lungsNot to mention the amount of plastics in the general consumer stream..
Whataboutism.... worn out ski boots..
I wonder how recyclable those solar panel charging pad roads will be? Hopefully better than the EV batteries they replace to some degree. It really seems like there is a hard causal relationship between present prosperity and future doom. Every time we resolve one dilemma one or two new ones arise..To make matters worse, the roads we ride/drive our clean machines on have a sub base of ground asphalt shingles, maybe a sprinkle of sewage, some slightly contaminated soil, who knows what else. At least they don’t just send a bunch of Irish to literally dig their own graves building the roads.
