Grilling on New Years Eve is something I have done from time to time. This year it is Salmon on a Ceder Plank.

It is two individual 6 oz salmon chunks with balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper. BYW it is raining here and I'm grilling in the dark.

Btw on that wellington, he said he followed Chef Ramsay's recipe. He has become quite the cook over the last 2 years, everything he learns on youtube. He said the trick to finding good mexican food recipes is word search in spanish.

Gyro & fries. Greek restaurants have the crispiest fries, yes it must be the grease they use. (Just to beat anyone else to it)

I discovered Yorkshire Pudding this season. Henceforth let no man speak ill of English cuisine in my presence!

Today I tried a recipe that my wife and her brother call an Austrian Pancake, it is cooked in a cast iron pan in the oven, but I used my grill. It tastes like French toast using a lot of eggs and almost like a custard.

I think it should be turned over to take it out of the pan but my wife said it doesn't need it. It is their recipe what do I know.

The supermarket had these marked down to $2.99 / lb. Couldn't pass it up for my traditional pork w/sauerkraut new year's meal. Sous vide for 4 hours, then finished on the grill.

This is, without a doubt, the best bowl of Grits and Eggs I've ever made. I wish that Yelton's Best hadn't been discontinued. 20230102_134737.jpg
