Gotta love the Salt Lake Valley, fine spring skiing this morning and plenty of blooms in the yard this afternoon. Threw in a couple clouds second photo ;-)

Is there an orographic effect behind the ridge in the foreground?

It feels like there's one of those question-mark vortices in the left middle of the pic, so I'm thinking chunky terrain that we don't see?
There's nothing really big right there but there are large outcroppings in the area. The lake sits between two minor ranges on the east and west sides. This storm was just to the south as we were leaving.

27 May 2023: not much of a cloud picture, but shows what the inside of the new tram cars look like at Snowbird when they have their sunroof open :D
This shot was taken the moment the red tram car is passing by about midway up the tram line, as seen through the windows.

Actually, Snowbird will be closed from May 31 to June 16, then reopen June 17 and 18 and possibly additional weekends after that. During the closure they will be installing rooftop tram balconies for extra scenic summer tram rides and I believe egress will be through the roof opening depicted here.
