Dessert Question

1. I eat Ice Cream with a spoon.
2. I eat Pie with a fork.

But what do you use to eat pie with ice cream on top?

I vote for spoon. What do you vote for?
Spoon!

Snickers Almond bars, dipped in Drake batter and deep fried, with vanilla ice cream!

If I'm eating out and have a craving for a dessert, its usually Tiramisu or Creme Brûlée

At home, one of my favorites is home made pie, usually apple, and now that my friend send me a supply of pitted frozen tart cherries, I'll be making some of my home made cherry pie.

I made cherry pie for Easter Dinner at @Andy Mink's house. I tend to cut back on sugar because I like my pie a little tart.
I think it went over well.

Yum! Are the cherries from Michigan or Washington?
Michigan Tart Cherries.
A friend of mine sent her son here for his spring break. She sent him with an extra checked bag with 10 quarts of frozen tart cherries which, believe it or not, are impossible to find out here.

When I ask anyone at a store, even Trader Joe's, for frozen tart cherries for pie, they say, "why don't you just use sweet cherries?"
From someone who grew up making pies the way they ought to be made, this is unacceptable. :nono:

You don't use sweet cherries for cherry pie, just like you don't use red delicious apples for apple pie.

Talenti gelato. It may be regional, but i bought a pint when i had a craving a couple of weeks ago instead of getting the usual cookies and the chocolate PB was creamy and delicious. I stopped at Shop Rite last night on the way home from the gym to get a healthy dinner of blackened salmon and stopped in the frozen aisle to get some edamame. The gelato was on sale again for $2.88. Better yet, $2 each if you buy 5.
I bought 5 :doh::eek: Only 1080 calories.

Not all desserts need to be baked with exotic ingredients ( I do like a tart cherry pie).

Put bottle of choco-wine in freezer. Usually this is a dutch made red wine with chocolate which when frozen tastes like a fudgesicle.

Pour frozen choco-wine into shot glass.
Float some chocolate vodka on it
Add a little Bailey's
Enjoy!

A friend's wife calls this drink/dessert "liquid panty remover."

12 yo daughter made a vanilla birthday cake and decorated it with homemade butter cream frosting for her younger sister this weekend. Was an awesome effort and tasted good as well!!!

Did your better half make/bake this assortment? Those pignoli and S cookies look fantastic. Mouth watering!!!! Man do I miss NJ!!!
Yes, she made them all, this year she did bake homemade cookies but not as many different types. My Covid-19 weight is going to be close to 19 LBS.

Not a big dessert eater, but always room for ice cream! (or better - gelato!)

I discovered a great dessert in Europe (where they insist you have dessert) - The Colonel. Lemon sorbet with a shot of vodka! Deliciously refreshing, and alcohol too!
