For the first ski - the 87 edge will work fine for those. I would suggest removing the sidewall as that will start to impede the file from cutting the whole edge.
For the Elan - It is repairable. As noted, though, what makes Rips good (asym), is also what makes them vulnerable to cases like this. You should switch and use the other edge for your inside edge, but - you know... Below is a ski that we took in, and were able to get back into shape. Our cost was right inline with the above listed amount. I think we charged $120 as there turned out to be a lot more edge to replace.
