Egg nog: Nectar of the gods or evil flemmy goo?

If I was a morning drinker, eggnog with brandy would make an excellent coffee creamer. But, I’m just guessing

*shrug* people live in mental silos.

I know several people who check every ingredients list for allergy triggers, who hover in the kitchen and don't let you get on with it without re-re-re-informing you of their sensitivity list.

Annoying as these people are, and yes I've screamed in frustration, they're still less annoying than people who assume they are entitled to not inform themselves.

Completely aside from the

Commerciale egg-nog is great.
My dogs love it; and they get all of mine.
We keep it in the same bin as all of the pumpkin spice stuff, the trash bin.

Very late to this discussion, but have to weigh in. Arethusa Farms (https://www.arethusafarm.com/eggnog) is beyond any reproach. $13/quart … and totally worth it.

Sounds like it was called "Holiday Nog"... which could imply to folks that it's NOT "Egg" nog and has no eggs. So I get the recall. If it was actually called "Egg Nog" that would be stranger.
