I almost started this poll again and then thought it sounded familiar! I'm still in the yes category.

Did not look to see if already answered. Flawed poll. Correct answer: waste of perfectly good rum (or whatever other hard liquor you wish to ruin).
Ahh, not really. If you do it right you are just using up the dregs in one of many bottles that need to be restocked anyway. :cocktail:

Simply a waste of good bourbon. :nono:
If you must drink eggnog, please use the cheap stuff, to preserve our supplies of good bourbon in these desperate times.

Bubba's doesn't exist anymore at the River Mountain Lodge in Breck. Unfortunately neither does his remarkable, homemade Rompope.

This is not his secret recipe, but glancing at the ingredients it would appear to be similar.

Flemm or phlegm? I prefer the all natural ingredients, no carrageenan, artificial sweeteners or non dairy for me. I like my phlegm as phlegmy as it can get, then as much alcohol as it takes to choke it down!

Phlegm is one of those words that grosses me out like a car crash you can't ignore.

Recipe from a friend:

Whisk 6 eggs well, whisk in 1 cup sugar, whisk in about 10 cloves, then 10 oz. Bourbon, 5 oz. dark rum, and 5 oz. Cognac. Whisk to combine well.

Pour into a quart-sized Mason jar (will *just* fit). Store, sealed, in the fridge for 3 weeks or more.

Strain to remove solids. Add whole milk, cream, or half-and-half to taste. Garnish with ground nutmeg.

Sounds easy enough. And he knows his drinks. The raw eggs, though ...
