I do find it fairly foul. I'll take just the bourbon and skip all those calories.

so I tried the Almond Nog--- not too bad-- much lighter than real egg nog. I did add more nutmeg.. adding some Rum Chata too..

Hello December it's great to see ya. Any version of egg nog is a giant no me gusta. Rumchata, rumchata with Fireball or this is what makes our December go round.

I'm not a beer drinker to begin with but this seems really odd to me.

The wife asked a couple of days ago whether she should buy some egg nog at the store. Having just read this thread I slyly suggested that home made would probably taste a lot better. One thing I love about my wife is that she's always up for trying out new stuff. She made a dairy based batch for me and a coconut milk based batch for herself. Both were delish but you just can't beat real milk-fat for taste and mouth feel.

2000-5000psi can emulsify and homogenize a lot of palm kernel oil and sugar solution. :D

While at Home Depot yesterday I was scratching my head to see 3/4 of their seasonal display was Christmas and the tiny set up for Halloween.
AT the grocery store pepermint bark is on display everywhere.
Now egg nog. Too soon.

I love B. Dylan Hollis's videos. I often have to watch them twice to pick up all of the innuendoes.

He has a new one out, Egg Nog Pie, that sounds really interesting. IIRC, we don't post links to social media on this site. Instead, just go to FB, search for B. Dylan Hollis, and scroll down to posts from 5 days ago, or around December 2.

In another video, I heard him say that rum is the best liquor for egg nog.

His cookbook, Baking Yesteryear, is a #1 NYT bestseller.
