Lots to like about the Lucid Gravity, but I'm curious about the rear window visibility - seems limited. This is kind of a sore spot for me with my current vehicle.

Yes so many issues with this car it is not funny, but that is what happens when you ignore EVs and then realize a little too late that you need an EV strategy. Unfortunately for Toyota they have a lot of catching up to do and so far all we have seen is a lot of future forward announcements around solid state batteries and amazing performance coupled with some very very poorly constructed EVs. Hopefully they can turn things around and stay relevant ... time will tell.

Just bought my wife a Hyundai Ioniq 5. RWD version, gets about 330 miles per charge. Pretty sweet ride.

They are behind because they made the correct business decision to build cars people want:

I was talking about cars in general, not only EVs and the japanese economy is not booming like it used to, so we shall see. My money is on US and Chinese car makers.

What's the point of your post? Cherrypicking one extreme data point to somehow prove that ICE vehicles are superior? Not getting that.

Its not one point, just an indication of what is happening.

Several friends in different car companies are already expressing the issue with gas free vehicles and the issues they are seeing, because of friendship they advise against EV's as the problems are just beginning to show and show expensively for owners. Cost of ownership is not that which was indicated.

Again, EV's and Hybrids have an important role in being environmentally responsible, but how it is being sold will have a negative backlash that could end the goal.

Well it is one point...the example you shared and nothing else. What data and support are your "friends" providing to substantiate it further? I mean, I could list you a laundry list of ridiculously expensive repairs that I've have had to pay for in my years of owning ICE vehicles and a million stories of what happens when ICE cars are out of their warranty period. How about 5K for replacing my AC compressor b/c they had to remove the dashboard? Still...I won't generalize that all ICE cars and some brands are better than others. Just trying to understand how your comment advances the conversation b/c it seemed like an attempt somehow claim that just b/c your car has lasted 408K miles its somehow better than a lot of the great innovation going on in the EV industry.

Well since you asked Ford, VW and Tesla are the manufacturer sources. Technical articles again for various industries that deal with the development for these same products.

Again learn to read between the lines, the industry is screwing themselves by how they are pushing the industry, when it hits public knowledge hard.....you do the math.

Like I said this method of travel is required, but make sure it lasts long term.

When you say stuff like "learn to read between the lines" you lose all credibility bc you sound arrogant, condescending and a know it all. I'm not going to "do the math" ..whatever that means... b/c I asked you to back your assertion with facts and sources and not just refer to random "technical articles". You've provided none. I'm open to hear the point of view it seems like you are pushing but you don't provide anything but your own random opinion...so it's nothing more than that. We all have opinions, but to be credible on a topic you have to provide some facts and data underpinning your analysis...doesn't seem like you want to do that which is fine.
