I thought this would be about scores, but now I see that would be a whole different thread.

It could be about scores... that's a soundtrack too. What are your favorites?

I was going to say I’d hardly know where to start, but… Star Wars

I love James Horner’s Wrath of Khan and Aliens scores even though on Aliens he is already reusing bits from Wrath of Khan

Blade Runner and all things Vangelis (like The Bounty)

Escape from New York and other colabs with John Carpenter and Alan Howarth

And it’s great to get a real surprise like when Danny Elfman gave us the first incredible Batman score or Daft Punk doing a great score for TRON: Legacy

Wasn't there a Beatles movie to go with Yellow Submarine?
I forget to add Hard Days Night.

Sixteen Candles….

FWIW…”Jake” lived in our school district and I had both his kids in school. Yes…he/and his kids were as cool in person as the character he was in Sixteen Candles…

That is cool to have contact with a celebrity. When I was teaching one of my students was the keyboard player in the movie "School of Rock". He was a cool kid.

Wallenpaupack Area School District…..They lived in Newfoundland, PA. I had the two kids in elementary school at the South Elementary.
Not surprised. His IMDB page says he is from Wilkes-Barre and mentions he is in NEPA making furniture. Not the first of I have heard end up in the sleepy hamlet of that area.

Warriors
Legend (Tangerine Dream wrote most of it)

I picked those two because I actually bought the soundtracks (one vinyl, one cassette)

Every time I listen to Rush's "2112", a movie plays in my head.

I’m listening to the Blade Runner 2049 score right now. In the spirit of the movie it sounds more Vangelis than Vangelis.
