Packing a propane tank and Mr Heater would be nice, but that is a long walk, would need a push cart. There is probably only a 3 week window to ice fish there, need it cold enough. I did not see anyone fishing there in Jan or March.

I love fishing and just about every type of fishing but I can’t see ice fishing as something I’ll ever do willingly. Although I’ve done some winter steelhead fishing in NY and questioned why the bleep am I doing this until I’d catch one and forget all about the cold lol.

^teetotaling in-laws, sounds like.

On the upside, you don't get poison ivy rash, ticks or wasp stings during the approach to the 'perfect' spot.
Just some of the reasons I like winter. Let me add pollin to that list.

The more I think about it, the more I agree with you. lol. Maybe if there was nothing else to do on the weekends.
