Didn’t work for Leo-
Did a white Countach a few years back. You basically fall into the seats as the sills are so high and wide.

Detailed the wife’s “fun car” after doing the husband’s 2018 Mini Cooper S with the full wrap 2 weeks ago. The Mini already has new wheels ordered and already got his 91 Octane Br Performance stage 1 tune. Ended up going from 192hp flywheel stock to 272hp. The customer can’t believe the difference is response and power and is absolutely loving the Mini now.

I met this guy and his FUN car at CarQuest. The kindest Porsche owner I have ever met. 2022 911 Turbo S with 640 HP and 205mph top speed, AWD, 2.6 seconds 0 to 60. Great guy. He deployed front splitter and rear spoiler so I could see.

Years ago I had 911 Turbo's and a bunch of FUN cars...

Went to Germany and bought 735 7 Series with Recaro Front seat...

In the top photo is that a socket on one of the bolts? Let me guess it is a 10MM socket.

My friend in CT usually attends the Caffeine & Carburetors events in New Canaan. Pretty awesome turnout of vehicular hardware.

I visited him a few weeks ago, and even the nearby coffee shop across the boarder in NY state has great turnout for their Cars & Coffee:

I was ready to put up a thread for the first-ever M3 Touring, but confirmed no US availability.

AND NO STICK SHIFT?!

I'm going to go have myself a good cry...... :(

They didn't want to make it slower.

For me, in a car already this fast, it isn't purely about the numbers.

It's about the feel and connectivity. No "sponge" between my right foot and the rear wheels!

Yeah, all of the F1 drivers with DSG transmissions were complaining about the "spongy feel". LOL.

This is kinda why I asked about Ev's on the track. No shifting, no noise. How is the experience? Left foot braking? I would think people would be very fast when you can focus just on throttle and brake and traction. No noise. Maybe not as sensory..

Well, no DSG either, just an 8-speed slushbox.

Which is fine, but not "M" in my admittedly somewhat old book.

I never owned a Porsche, although I came very close once in the 1970s when I put a deposit on a used 914 from a private seller. In a sort of cheap move, the seller sold it the next day to his relative and returned my check to me.

However, my two older brothers shared a few Porsches with each other during the'60s and '70s. I stumbled on a photo of the 1959 bathtub Porsche they both drove for a few years in the late '60s. It was a little nicer than this old scratchy photo implies, but the amazing thing is that a Porsche was just a few bucks more costly than a VW Beetle in those days and Beetles were dirt cheap.

what's your guesstimate? it would be more painful for my brothers than me. Actually, my oldest brother gave that car to my next oldest brother as a christmas gift in 1967 because the oldest was shipping out for a tour of duty with the USMC in Vietnam.
Later they shared a 1965 convertible. No family photos of it handy, but it looked like this:
