Nice vehicle except for the annoying wind rattle in the drivers door area and the anemic gasping sounds of the V6. It has power through. Nice vehicle.

Is this Canadian for 'you hated it'? *confused*

How was the loaded/unloaded balance? I positively hate having the back end get swervy and bouncy if not loaded down with luggage and a full gas tank. *cough*Kia/Hyundai*cough*

Well hate is a strong word. It had a couple of annoyances but on the whole not bad. It drove well although it wasn't overly loaded up. The Outback is as you say. Feels kinda like a boat that won't plane....

The thing is, it wasn't exactly a collector car, you know?? :roflmao:

Oh, c'mon. Of course it was - witness the classy hood ornament. :)

Nostalgia is weird. Someone has already done a Cosworth Lada 1500 which means that any day now I'll run into a Tesla-engined Skoda 105.

Years back, when Smart Cars were a thing, I saw one pull into the rest stop at the top of Vail Pass as I took a break on a bike ride.

The Smart Car was brand new with temp tags, and the couple that stepped out looked terrified and rather unhappy with each other, possibly regretting their life choices. I can't imagine driving that thing on I-70 surrounded by big rigs and trying to stay with traffic on ascents and descents. Yikes.
Try it in an old vw beetle that had 50 hp when it was new 54 years ago. LOL

Or a Civic Si from the early 90s - when they loved to swap back end for front. Actually, even the HF trim would do it.

"Aha, so you thought engine braking was a GOOD idea, did you?"

Well, the kiddo is about to take his car. I found my new fun car. OG M2 6mt with 38k. It is a blast to drive, and glad to be back in a BMW. I bought my wife a x3m but she would not let me drive it as much as I wanted. Hallet here we come! This will be a great supplement for the lost ski season.

Oh my, what a fun little car. I bootmod3 ed the car stage 1 (91 oct), with Csf stepped core intercooler, CSF Charge pipe and AA sport cat. The stage 1 tune increased my MPG avg on the lieometer from 23 to 27 with mostly highway driving. Now at a stated 440 whp from pro-tuning freaks, this is truly a fun car that is drivable as a daily. Way more fun to drive than any of the mustangs we own, including the gt350r we bought as a collectible. I am ready for my first High speed touring event at Hallett at the end of Apr. Scca Autocross will be my first event in the car on apr 22.

First day of work and first fun car this year as I’m still healing from my collarbone displacement 3 months ago. Have so many regulars with new 2023 vehicles I thought I’d start working a few days a week again.

23 70th Anniversary C8 with Z51 package, mag ride, auto front bumper lift and only a couple weeks old. Customer still has an older Z06 and has had about 10 vettes over the years. Sounds awesome!
Polished and ceramic coated it.

Great to see you're back at it! Collarbones are a bastid.
