Fenders and gravel don’t mix in my world. At least not a front fender.

I was riding with a friend that had metal fenders and not much clearance. gravel kept getting caught and dragged across them. Ouch.

in CO, if a trail is that wet, its closed.

Yeh, pretty much the only way to close a local trail is to have a 40F day in late April. Yesterday was a ghost town.

Putting a 'closed' sign on a trail? Might as well have it read 'Leave your dog doo here'.

not here, you ride on a wet trail, you run the risk of getting caught by rapid mtn bikers (not riding of course) its taken very seriously here.

The trails our MTB riders do protect are also the ones too difficult to walk with your dogs on 16 foot leashes, 3 abreast. But if I post pics here, I get told to get a hardtail :roflmao:

Your MTB riders care about gravel trails, interesting. Does that include state/county roads or just non-road side paths?

are you saying post #35 is a gravel road? We would call that a kinda-sorta mtn bike, foot path.

I'm saying that every one of those sections is a county-approved and county-maintained gravel path, yes.

The middle one used to be an asphalted utility road, and you can still see the broken up asphalt chunks. Are asphalt chunks gravel? Then yes, it's a gravel road.

Not sure where in 'kinda-sorta' MTB rider activism begins to be called for, but please send them along. I'd love for someone to police the dog drekh leavers and the 16-foot-across-the-path leashers.
