So anybody else ready for the new season. Training underway and we have had our first bit snow come and go. Looks like next week is snowy.

I attended the National Ski Area Association Fall risk management conference a few weeks ago. The Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop Pro session is scheduled for Nov 5. We start on mountain refresher and recertification Nov 10-14. Opening day is scheduled for Nov 24. I am stoked!

Just finished up our own refresher training this weekend. Now it just needs to snow so more..

Our town is doing terrible with the Covid mitigation.. so that means our area is still going to be skin/hike/self shuttle to the top this season. In addition, the contracted bus company wasn't able to get enough drivers to run the buses this year. Locally it's a huge problem and even the school bus company has been forced to rotate which bus routes it can do for the school kids. The self shuttle worked pretty well last season as it was limited to just season pass holders and will be limited again this year. Same story with day passes, limited.
