I think my skiing short days are over, but look forward to some spring skiing. This was 1983 Winter Park, short shorts were in those days. :roflmao:

Winter is losing it's grip as Vermont saw the first day over 40 degrees this past week. Time for the thaw/refreeze cycle to kick in. Lots of warm spring days ahead.
Yes been starting in central NY
Sucks for night skiers, warm temps all day with a freeze at night. You really got to pick and choose nights out.

Me and my 21 year old daughter today winter park. March 1st first day of spring, right? If it’s not it should be. Awesome day, it’s my daughters 4th day to ski ever, she loves it, and doing great. All sunshine today and spring skiing just does not get much better!

Spring skiing at its best today, 41 degrees high. I was gonna wear shorts but I didn’t want to embarrass my daughter. Snow tomorrow good thing we are sunburnt!

@Tex: you, sir, are sitting in my chair in the little outdoor alcove above the Club Car. I always sit there with a beer after a day of skiing Mary Jane. However, you and daughter are not drinking the right beer - it should be Mary Jane Ale.

Pffft @Guy in Shorts rocks the bare knees all season long. It ain't just a spring thing.
But Guy actually wears shorts. Those things are "hot pants" from the 1970's accessorized with a WWF championship title belt, and IDK, I get the feeling that was his outfit on pond skimming day and he decided to roll with it!

:roflmao: Those shorts were surfing shorts and super hip, I had a yellow pair just like them, and I should have worn those that day and really been over the top. Don’t double dog dare me or I will post a pic of me in the yellow pair!

I can't even imagine skiing in short sleeves much less like that. Spring snow in the NE can be like sandpaper so any fall at speed can produce some low grade "road rash".

Here is the trick, you don’t crash.

We went from full on winter directly to late spring here at WMR. A day or two of sunshine is nice but I'd rather have 14 degrees and snowing like stink - just like last week.
