Is there any accessible video coverage of the fashion show?

I have photos of everything. There was someone there taking video -- Kathy Benharris would know. I'll email her.

One more thing....... Almost looks like a Tele binding set up managing his heel. Is that a special Ballet Binding? I know they need extra room
around the heels and toes but I've never really paid attn to it before until this pic...... :beercheer:
@Philpug may be able to shed light on it.

It is a special bindig for ballet. Since they really don't need the binding to release, it is pretty much fixed on there.

One funny thing about Herby's set-up. The bindings don't release but you can't get on a lift without some kind of ski retention device or brakes. So Dan checked with 'the group' ( our ski buddies at Schweitzer) and rigged up a couple of lanyards to look like they were safety straps. The clip end he hooked to the binding, the loose end he just snapped under a buckle underneath the gaiters on his pant leg. Totally non-functional (and unnecessary since the bindings don't release) but achieved the need of getting on the lifts. Just for further entertainment, one of the lanyards is a Jagermeister branded piece.

Typically, in Ballet, you would use at least a toe-piece and a trap heel for practice. The trap heel , often the cut off end of a plate binding plate ( Geze, Besser, etc.) did not release- you are locked in at the heel but had lateral toe release. This was a setup that originated on water ramps. later, in the late 80’s, the Europeans and Norwegian started using trap or bail toes- no release at all I used a trap heel with a Marker M3 toe as I had a tendency to pull out of heels regardless of how much I cranked them down and I only weighed 145-150 then. That said, slow twisting falls in every direction are common in ballet especially when learning a new maneuver. . My favorite ballet binding was the Spademan S-4- light ,strong and it let the ski flex although I occasionally released upwards at the heel . There you go, more than you wanted to know …as I remember it.:)
