Phil and I attended and partied with the cast, crew and stunt doubles from Hot Dog 30th Reunion.
Today we head to Olympic Valley to do it all over again for the 40th Reunion.

We may bump into some of you while we're there.
Cheers to Hot Dog!!
Look for some pics of me with Banana Pants!

I remember reading something written by another stunt double where they said for the snowball fight scene they made all those snowballs too early, it got colder, and they sat for over an hour before they started flying.. they were rock hard at that point and some people had black eyes and bloody noses in the aftermath. Rest of it was hilarious and sounded like a lot of fun..

Saw it in the theater while at college in Norman Oklahoma corrupting a couple friends.. One friend was from San Diego and had a couple years of skiing.. The other was from Oklahoma and came up to Minnesota with me the previous year where I taught him to navigate greens and easy blues there. They dug it so much we decided to hit Purgatory and Sierra Blanca (Ski Apache) the following Spring Breaks. I guess we partied so hard at those places they had to change their names hahahaha..

I saw Hot Dog for the first time last year. Things have changed a lot and it could never be made in 2024, but it’s hilarious and worthy of ski comedy legend status.

Enjoy the reunion…and what the F is a Chinese downhill?!

Well it is not politically correct to call it that now. But if you saw the movie, you heard (it's yelled )and saw it.

Every other week I recognize Saito in something else. Dude's had an amazing career and still going..

And what a gentlemen too. We had a good 10 minute chat. Truly a nice guy.

Maybe if Shannon Sylvia Tweed was there too??
Debbie Dutton was there for the 30th but had something come up and wasn't able to be at the 40th. She's been missed.

Too bad. I walked right by Debbie last May as I was getting beer at the Chammy on the day of Cushing’s Crossing. Ironically I saw her talking to a guy with a SkiTalk lanyard. Also saw Scott Gaffney and Sherry McConkey there.

This is the second time we've celebrated the reunion of Hot Dog the Movie with the gang. It is absolutely incredible to see everyone come out to hang with everyone, party and ski.

One of the things I've noticed this time around compared to last time (2014) is that the partying has slowed down by a bunch of them/us and bedtime comes a lot quicker. ;)
In 2014 we rented a room at Squaw because we were up late and got up early to ski. This time around it was easy enough to be home in Reno by 10-10:30 (which is still past our bedtime ;) ) and back there for meet up by 9 AM booted up and ready to roll.

I asked about a 50th reunion and someone suggested that they do 45th because everyone is getting old.

But, let me say, this is the youngest group of 50 and 60 somethings on the planet!

Since Harkin Banks is from Bonners Ferry, it's good that N. Idaho was well represented by Bob, Dan, Moondog, Banana Pants, and ET. I missed skiing closing weekend with those boys, though.
